Cyclone Nargis hit Myanmar at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, destroying homes, causing injury, uprooting trees, and claiming lives. International news organizations are not allowed to report from Myanmar, but the news that is trickling out is horrifying. The death toll is estimated at over 22,000 and another 41,000 are missing.
You can bring hope to the devastated people of Myanmar.
Right now, Gospel for Asia (GFA) missionaries are ministering to these suffering, terror-stricken people -- providing shelter, meals, prayer, comfort, and the love of Christ.
The task before the GFA missionaries -- and all rescue workers -- is enormous. The country is currently without electricity and it is estimated that there will be no power for 3 months. Fresh food and clean water are also scarce, with prices rising rapidly.
