Upon Reading Revolution in World Missions ...

When I was in high school, I stumbled upon a book that would forever change my life. It was called Revolution in World Missions by K.P. Yohannan, president and founder of Gospel for Asia. Between those pages my eyes were opened to the plight of the unreached peoples of India, China, Nepal and other countries in the 10/40 Window.

I was broken as I heard of the great need for the Gospel among people who have no access to any information about Jesus. I was saddened as I thought of my own blessedness and how often I had squandered my finances and resources on myself instead of using them to further God's kingdom. Then, I was given hope. I learned about GFA and its incredible mission. You can order a free copy and read it for yourself.

Reach the most unreached

Gospel For Asia exists to reach the most unreached with the hope of the gospel. They accomplish this by raising up native missionaries among their own people, missionaries who are already immersed in the culture and customs of their community, so there are fewer cultural barriers to overcome. They are trained in GFA's Bible colleges and sent out to be ambassadors of the light of Christ in the darkest places in the world.

The impact of these committed men and women is tremendous. Each day, new Christian fellowships are being formed-often in places where there previously were no known Christians. My heart was so stirred as I learned of the great things God was doing in Asia through GFA.

Making disciples of all the nations

I was even more encouraged to learn I could be a part of His work through giving. For $30 a month, you and I can help these native missionaries accomplish the greatest mission in the world, making disciples of all the nations. As soon as I got to college, I began supporting my first missionary, Amrik. Since then, my wife and I have taken on three missionaries, and we also sponsor two children through GFA's Bridge of Hope children outreach program. And 100 percent of the money goes straight to the mission field to be used to help promote the Gospel.

I count it such a privilege having the chance to be involved in the work of God around the world. Now my challenge to you is this: If you've been blessed by our God, would you consider being a blessing to others, so that the Gospel may bear fruit in the whole world (Colossians 1:6)?
