Lemchom Panchbhai (right) is a little boy enrolled in one of Gospel for Asia's Bridge of Hope centers in Meghalaya. When GFA missionary Robinson Dutta visited his home and shared the Gospel with his parents, they very soon received Christ.
Bridge of Hope is a wonderful extension of Christ's love to regions of Meghalaya such as this one, where many families are very poor. Children are not only helped with their academic studies through instruction and tutoring, they also are taught basic hygiene, and they hear the Gospel of Christ.
The 420 children in GFA's four Bridge of Hope centers in Meghalaya learn praise songs and Bible stories. Many listen very attentively and eagerly.
But it's definitely not "all work and no play" for the students at this Bridge of Hope center: Students enjoy outdoor recreation, too!
A meal a day at the Bridge of Hope center is a blessing to many of these children who are not always able to have a nutritious meal at home.
Today Lemchom's family is active in the local GFA-affiliated Believers Church and is one of several families in Meghalaya that have come to Christ recently.
