Text from this PhotoShow:
Gospel for Asia's children's ministry leader for northwest India, Chatura Gagan, and his team of native missionaries are hosts for a camp that reaches out to youth in Delhi.
More than 70 young people showed up for the two-day camp. The students fellowshipped together and learned about Christ.
They were enthusiastic about the action songs and games.
They were able to simply hang out together during free time and at meals served by the camp staff.
The young people even got to ask Chatura and other leaders tough questions about love, relationships, peer pressure and more. These questions are as relevant to teenagers in India as anywhere else in the world, and the team offered Christian answers to help these youth build a biblical perspective on life.
Chatura also shared a clear Gospel presentation to the youth. Many of the youth had never heard about Jesus and listened very intently.
Many lives were deeply touched by the messages that Chatura shared. During the camp, 23 of the 70 students chose to receive Jesus as their personal Savior.
The students who received Jesus praised His name during the final worship service. One young man named Daiwik was among the new Christians.
Soon after the camp ended, Daiwik began meeting with Chatura for Bible study and grew in his faith very quickly. He even started helping lead worship for young children's Sunday school classes.
Daiwik now goes out with Chatura to share the Gospel on the streets of his village. He wants to tell everyone how Jesus changed his life and how others can receive that free gift, too.
Because the youth camp was such a success, Chatura and his team are praying about starting more camps. They want to reach many more young people in India for Christ.
