Darkness Shattered

Shankar, an Uttar Pradesh (India) man, was a burden to his relatives. Struggling with alcoholism and other addictions, he was not easy to live with. But there was another problem, too. More than two years had passed since he went blind. With the loss of his eyesight, he depended on his family to perform daily tasks.

A GFA pastor in his community visited Shankar one day during outreach. The native worker shared about Jesus Christ and encouraged him to tune in to Athmeeya Yathra radio broadcasts. So Shankar began to listen every day. As the pastor continued to call on him, he grew more receptive to the Good News.

One Sunday the pastor and a fellow believer joined together to pray in faith for Shankar's healing. God answered their prayers and restored the blind man's sight. Overjoyed, Shankar and his family gave their hearts to Jesus. They are growing in their new faith and worshipping the living God who touched Shankar's eyes.
