Healing a Mother's Heart

As a mother, Sankaramol could not bear the pain of losing yet another child. One of her three children had been killed in the devastating tsunami that hit Tamil Nadu in 2004. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she received the news that her only daughter, Rosy, had a defect in her heart and without treatment would soon die. But the treatment was too costly for the family to afford. Their only income was from selling fish their father caught from the ocean.

Sankaramol was left without hope, and she didn't know what to do. More than anything she wanted to see her daughter cured.

One day she went to the Bridge of Hope center Rosy had attended, and in desperation told the staff about her daughter's condition. The staff went to Rosy's house and prayed for her to be healed. She and her family were touched when they realized how much the Bridge of Hope staff cared for them.

Then Rosy's family was amazed when she went for another check-up and the doctor said that the defect was gone. With great joy and excitement they reported the incident to the Bridge of Hope staff, who in turn gave all glory and honor to God.

Today Rosy is a healthy child and regularly attends the Bridge of Hope center where she continues to learn and grow in the Lord. Sankaramol is filled with gratitude to Jesus for healing her precious daughter. She and her family are now regularly attending the local GFA church.

Please pray that Rosy and her family will continue to grow in the Lord and become strong in their faith.
