Text from this PhotoShow:

In a poor, remote village in Asia, Dalpati and his family live in a small mud hut.
Life is difficult for Dalpati, who has to work long days just to make ends meet. He is a farmer, but seeds and fertilizer are expensive, and he can't always afford enough. He does odd jobs such as cutting timber, bamboo and pulling rickshaws.
Dalpati has a wife, four daughters and one son. During the rainy season, he and his children must work in the rice paddies to have enough money to survive. They only get one meal a day from the landlord who owns the paddies.
Dalpati and his family were overjoyed when they received a piglet from Gospel for Asia's Christmas Gift catalog. This piglet will allow Dalpati to eventually raise many other pigs that he can sell to earn extra money. His children's education, clothing and basic needs will be supplied by the pigs.
His family must carefully raise the piglet, feeding it rice, husks and leaves. Dalpati will put a big investment of time and resources in this animal.
But it will be worth it. He can sell the piglets he breeds for 1,000 rupees ($25 US). Dalpati says that the piglet brings promises of a better lifestyle and future for his family.
Dalpati says that God has answered his prayers. He says his family is in good health because of God's faithfulness.
Dalpati's whole family is thankful for the gift they have received. Dalpati did not believe that he could ever own a pig, much less have someone else give one to him.
