Text from this PhotoShow:

Jassi wants to be a doctor when she grows up, something that would be an incredible accomplishment.
Jassi lives in a slum in Uttar Pradesh, India. An open sewer runs right in front of her house.
But thanks to her sponsor, a whole new future has opened up to Jassi through her Bridge of Hope center—possibly a way to fulfill her dream.
Jassi and her classmates are learning, many for the first time, to brush their teeth and wash themselves. Each month, their Bridge of Hope teachers hand out hygiene items.
For many of the children, these were the first toothbrushes they ever owned.
Not only is Jassi learning valuable educational and health information, but she is also learning to trust Jesus.
The Bridge of Hope staff, after class hours, also goes throughout the slum to visit homes like Jassi's.
The staff workers listen to families' problems and pray with them, offering hope in the name of Jesus.
The teachers also help women learn to sew stuffed animals to sell, providing a small income.
Jassi and the other children have a new future ahead of them, thanks to their Bridge of Hope sponsors and the love of their teachers.
