Living Out an Eternal Education

Far from home, Raju went to a public phone and called his mother. As they talked, the conversation turned to God's care and concern in their lives.

When Raju hung up the phone, a woman standing nearby asked him, "Who are you, and can you tell me something about this God you were just talking about? There is no peace in my family."

Intrigued by this eavesdropper and grateful for the miraculous opportunity, Raju shared the Gospel with her.

Raju, a third-year student at one of Gospel for Asia's 54 Bible colleges, was on the mission field during his required six-month ministry experience. Under the supervision of an established Believers Church pastor, he was learning to do outreach and evangelism on a practical, everyday basis. Now, because of his training, he could effectively and accurately share the Gospel with this woman.

She listened intently and also told him how she suffered from intense headaches. Raju told her that Jesus would heal her headaches if she believed. He prayed for her—and she was immediately healed.

A few days later, the woman asked Raju to pray for her family. Raju and the pastor went together and explained the Good News to everyone. That day the whole family accepted Christ. What started as a telephone call to his mother resulted in an entire Sikh family coming to Christ and joining a Believers Church.

Monthly costs for an Asian's students three-year Bible college education: $30*. $30 Canada 20 £ United Kingdom, $40.00 New Zealand.
Raju is just one of more than 8,000 GFA Bible college students preparing for ministry. Many are first-generation Christians who desire to serve the Lord but need to be firmly grounded in the truths of the Bible. From their very first year in Bible college, young men and women study God's Word in depth to broaden their understanding and deepen their walk with the Lord, in preparation for a life glorifying to Him. Not only that, they are given ample opportunity to put their classroom education to the test and practically live out their calling to reach the lost.

And even while they train and prepare, the Lord is already using them to bring souls into His kingdom. Thanks to the prayerful investment of sponsors around the world, these thousands of young men and women have an opportunity to impact their communities for eternity.
