Manja’s Case Rescheduled for May 7

We have encouraging news about Manja, the wrongfully imprisoned Nepali missionary awaiting his trial. Today we found out Manja's case is scheduled to be heard May 7 before a full panel of judges. Earlier we reported that his March 18 hearing was cancelled—to the dismay of several judges, including the chief justice. With thousands of cases pending in the Nepali Supreme Court, it is through God's provision that the trial could be rescheduled this soon. Manja's chief lawyer is well-known and highly respected in his profession. Still, writes a GFA field leader, many details need to fall into place for the trial. Thank you for your continued prayers for Manja, a dear brother with a heart to reach Nepali people.

Pray:

1) For the Lord to prepare the judges' hearts

2) Wisdom for the lawyers in making the case for Manja's innocence

3) For Manja to stay encouraged in the Lord

4) For his wife's strength and comfort as she reaches out to women and children
