Winter Clothing

Think about what it's like ...

Think about what it's like to be outside on the coldest days in the winter. You were probably very grateful for the warm coat that protected you from the elements. Now think about working in the frigid climate of the Himalaya Mountains, but this time you don't have access to adequate, warm, winter clothing. That was the situation Gospel for Asia–supported missionary Ashka found himself in a few years ago.

Thanks to God's provision and the faithfulness of GFA friends, Ashka doesn't have to suffer when he walks for miles in the snow to share the love of Jesus. Ashka received a Winter Clothing Packet, and he now has a warm coat, gloves, a scarf, a hat and even hiking boots!

For missionaries like Ashka ...

For missionaries like Ashka joyfully proclaiming the Good News of Christ in cold regions in the dead of winter, the gift of winter clothing is one that will extend their ministry and provide them with warmth for years to come.

What Others Are Saying ...

My husband and I felt lead to give to the missionaries after realizing we have SO much here, living our comfortable American lives; and yet there are others out there witnessing for Jesus wearing flip flops in the cold. I ask myself this question: Do I really believe this whole Jesus thing and am willing to show it through my actions of giving?

I got the winter packet in the mail. I was reading about sandals in the snow. This must not be! Acts 2:42-47 is still possible if we love each other and put others needs before our own needs. Rev 7:9-10 makes it perfectly clear that there are people that need to be reached from these hard elevated places and if they need the necessities to accomplish the Great Commission all Christians should be making sacrifices for the Kingdom, because Jesus expects us to as followers of Him. May God use these funds for His glory, Amen.

Winter Clothing Helps the Gospel

Even though most parts of the Indian subcontinent don't receive snow in the winter, it does get cold during these months. Sometimes a dry pile of leaves lit on fire helps to stave off the early morning chill.
