Pastor Jobi Masih and his wife, Madhuri, serve the Lord in Chhattisgarh, India. Pastor Jobi graduated from a Gospel for Asia Bible college almost ten years ago and went back to his home village to tell people about Jesus.
Within just a few months, Jobi was pastoring a vibrant and growing church in the village. God used this small congregation as a source of workers to multiply the Word of God in this part of India.
Jobi's passion to reach the lost was the central theme in his ministry. He passed that vision on to the believers in his church. They soaked up his teaching and soon, many gave their lives over to ministry.
To date Jobi has discipled more than forty people. This group of young men went on to study at a GFA Bible college. They came back home to work with Jobi during their six-month field internship.
During that time, they were heavily involved in outreach. Almost daily, they walked to the nearby villages and visited every house. They handed out tracts and shared the Gospel with the people they met.
People in this region of Chhattisgarh are open to the Gospel message. They almost always take the tracts, and usually listen as these missionaries in training share the Gospel.
People often ask the men to pray for them. When the prayers are answered, it creates an open door through which people receive Jesus as their Savior. New churches are being planted as a result.
After six months on the field, Jobi's student interns are on their way back to the Bible college. Their graduation ceremony is just a few days away!
Five of the 42 men who graduated on this day are Jobi's disciples. He attends the ceremony and proudly congratulates them.
Now back at home, Jobi is working with a new group of men who are just beginning their path to ministry.
Jobi leads by example, teaching them that prayer is, and will always be, the foundation of their ministry.
Jobi takes the men to a nearby village where they visit each home and share the Gospel with the people who live there.
When their time with Jobi concludes, they will have a strong foundation on which to build a ministry. They will go on to a GFA Bible college. When they graduate, they will be sent out to reach the lost—and Jobi's ministry will be multiplied even further.
