These eight Gospel for Asia missionaries in Rajasthan, India, are eager to start using their brand-new bikes to help their ministry.
In Rajasthan, the majority of people live in rural villages. These missionaries must travel on dirt roads riddled with potholes to bring the Gospel to the people.
But a sturdy bike will easily navigate the toughest areas, including steep mountain roads.
The missionaries will ride their bikes to vsiit families like this one and share the Gospel one-on-one with them. They will also use their bikes to travel between villages where they have fellowship groups started.
Missionaries often start several fellowships like this one in different villages. Their travel time adds up quickly if they have to walk between villages.
This bike will save much time for this missionary to use counseling people, listening to prayer requests and helping believers grow in the Lord.
The lifestyle in these villages is so simple that if a missionary had a car for transportation, it would seem out of place and hard for the people to relate to him.
And if a car or motorcycle broke down, the nearest repair shop would be far away. A missionary can easily maintain and repair his own bicycle.
Now that these missionaries have their own wheels, more people, like this man, will get to hear that Jesus loves them.
