Sitor heavily consumed alcohol and would often get drunk. His family never knew for certain what kind of mood he would be in or whether they could approach him. It seemed nothing would change him.
But meeting GFA native missionary Lakshuman and hearing about Jesus and His power gave Sitor’s caring daughter hope—faith to believe for a change. “If my father is completely delivered from alcoholism,” Prasela told the missionary, “I will follow Jesus.”
Lakshuman assured Prasela that God would work in her father’s heart. Joined by his family, the native missionary prayed fervently for Sitor. Answering their pleas on the troubled family’s behalf, the Lord delivered Sitor from his addiction. Elated at the change in her father, Prasela gave her heart to Jesus. She attends church regularly and is being discipled in her new faith. She is interested in going into ministry. Pray that Prasela will be used mightily for the furtherance of the Gospel. Pray that each person in her family will soon know Jesus and the comfort He brings.
