Gospel for Asia’s 54 Bible colleges have the goal of instilling in each student the vision to take the Gospel to the most unreached in Asia.
Nalini’s father had been in the hospital 30 days when he died. The doctors did their best to save his life but with no results—the self-inflicted burns proved to be fatal.

Gossip circulating around their village about his wife had been more than Nalini’s father could bear. He beat and kicked his wife and daughter out of the house after they refused to commit suicide with him. Then tried to do it alone. After he set himself on fire, the excruciating pain forced him to call for help. But it was too late.

After his death, Nalini and her now widowed mother were ostracized from society, which led to severe agony and depression. Things got worse as her mother became demon possessed—the demon even tried to incite them to commit suicide like her father.

It was at this time that Nalini’s uncle shared the Gospel with them. They wanted to know more, so they began attending church. Church members prayed for her mother’s deliverance, and eventually she was healed completely.

This became the turning point in Nalini’s life. She committed her life to Jesus and threw away her idols of worship. She and her mother continued to faithfully attend church and grow in the love of the Lord. As Nalini’s knowledge of Scripture grew, she desired to serve the Lord in ministry. She is now a student in one of Gospel for Asia’s Bible colleges.

The first Christian missionary to Tamil Nadu was the apostle Thomas. Most people are involved in agriculture in this southern state.

Please pray for Nalini and her mother as they continue to grow in the knowledge and love of the Lord. Pray for the salvation of their neighbors and family members. Also pray Nalini will be faithful in her studies at the college, and bold in sharing Christ with others.
