“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12, NKJV).
With every step he takes, Nogan in Bihar, North India, is a testimony to the power of God’s Word.
GFA native missionary Rakesh had met him one day and handed him a Bible. “Read it every day,” he told him.
And Nogan did begin to read his new Bible. In its pages, the living God met with him, revealing his need for a Savior. Nogan trusted in Christ for salvation and dedicated his life to serve Him. Within him grew a burning desire to tell others that they, too, could find forgiveness and new life in Jesus.
“I am training him for the ministry,” Rakesh wrote recently. “We go to different villages and share the Good News. Pray for his spiritual growth.”
Because Nogan received the blessing of God’s Word, today he has the privilege to worship and serve his loving Creator. Yet millions in Asia don’t have that opportunity—they remain in fearful bondage to the demands of unresponsive deities.
Only a small percentage of people in Asia have access to the live-giving Scriptures in their language. But by God’s grace, GFA is working to change that! If you would like to give God’s Word to someone like Nogan, please click here.
