A Life Transformed in Assam

Poverty caused Amulya to have two strikes against her—she was malnourished and had to drop out of school after the fifth grade. When she was 13, her circumstances came to a crisis point: Amulya became severely ill, developing a high fever and a bloody nose. But because of her parents' financial condition, they could not afford good treatment for her.
One day, Amulya's neighbor Bijoy visited her home and spoke with her family about Jesus Christ. Bijoy brought his pastor, a GFA-supported native missionary named Ajay, and Ajay's wife to Amulya's home to pray for her.
Pastor Ajay's family and Bijoy's family continued to visit the home and pray for the girl's healing. A week later, God had completely healed Amulya, and she and her family chose to follow Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
Through the respectful wisdom, love and care shown by Bijoy, Ajay and their families, Amulya and her whole family now have a relationship with the Living God. The Lord is using missionaries and believers just like them to shine His light all across Assam.
