Through the outreach of Victor and his family, lives like Emanuel’s are being touched everyday.
Emanuel’s life was quickly headed down a dangerous path of destruction.

Although Emanuel grew up in a Christian family and actively participated in church as a child, he fell into the wrong crowd in his youth. His new friends negatively influenced him and he began to drink heavily, even running into trouble with the law a number of times.

Emanuel’s parents hoped that arranging for his marriage would help him to live more responsibly and forsake his destructive ways. Their hopes proved wrong: Emanuel briefly left his old habits but was soon back to heavy drinking and squandering his money. Things at home even got so bad that his wife attempted suicide twice. Thankfully, both attempts failed.

Knowing of Gospel for Asia native missionary Victor, the troubled woman went to him for prayer. As she shared her struggles, Victor responded by sharing the Good News of salvation, encouraging her to trust Jesus. He then visited and talked with Emanuel.

God began to work in Emanuel’s heart. Within a few days, his family members were pleased to notice a difference in his heart, reflected in his actions. Touched by God’s Word and the compassion the missionary showed him, Kumar received Jesus as Savior and today is an active member of Victor’s church.
