Silence. Complete silence. After two days, Malati Nadish still hadn’t spoken a word. Her family struggled to hope for her recovery, but it seemed she had completely lost her mind. And her silence only hinted at the severity of her mental state.
Two months before, Malati began losing all sense of control. She went from being a healthy young woman to a wild, abusive tyrant. She insulted people when she passed them on the streets, and she would often roam the village completely naked. Many nights, she’d wander alone through the jungle without coming home.
Totally distraught by her condition, Malati’s family took her to several doctors and also tried their own religious remedies. But nothing seemed to help.
Then Malati’s parents received a glimmer of hope. They heard of a Gospel for Asia missionary, Rasik Pravin, whose God could do amazing things.
Malati’s parents rushed her to Rasik and asked him to pray to his God for her healing. Rasik fervently cried out to God on behalf of Malati. Then he invited her to come to the church where he served as pastor.
The next Sunday, Malati’s parents and nine of their friends took Malati to the worship service. As the believers began worshipping Jesus, Malati shrieked and jumped around the building.
It was clear to Rasik and the Christians that Malati was under the control of demons. They lifted her up to the Lord in prayer, and slowly Malati became calm and peaceful.
Seeing the amazing change in Malati’s life, her parents started attending Rasik’s church. And nine of their friends wanted to know more about Jesus.
Over the next few weeks, Malati completely regained her senses and returned to normal. After seeing the mighty power of Christ demonstrated in her deliverance, Malati and her parents decided to follow Jesus. They are now faithfully serving Him as members of Rasik’s church.
Rasik asks for prayer that Malati’s testimony will continue to impact the villagers. He also requests prayer that many will come to know Christ personally through his ministry there.
