Tears streaming down her cheeks, Maniput fervently prayed for her wayward son. Abraham seemed to be living aimlessly, pursuing one thing after another. Oh, that he would know her precious Jesus, too! Maniput longed for that day. And the day would come.

Though he regularly attended church and Sunday school, Abraham showed little interest in knowing Jesus. That changed one day when he tuned in to a Christian radio broadcast and heard God’s Word proclaimed in a powerful way. Abraham suddenly realized he was a sinner, desperately in need of Jesus’ atoning sacrifice on the Cross for sin. Moved by the broadcast, Abraham asked Jesus to save him. His life radically changed as a result.

For Abraham, forsaking his old habits was worth it all—the Lord gave him sweet peace and joy. When Abraham heard the testimony of a Christian serving the Lord in the village, the Lord touched his heart on behalf of people who still need to hear about Jesus. Obeying God’s leading in his life, Abraham enrolled in a GFA Bible college to be trained for full-time ministry. Today there are 8,000 students studying in our Bible colleges, preparing to bring the Gospel to their people. All glory to God.
