For five years, Sukana had raised her two children alone. After her husband died, the only place she knew to find strength was from her worship of nature, gods and goddesses. She performed these rituals faithfully but felt just as empty as before.

The community looked down on her because she was a widow, and it got even worse when her family members were attacked by demons from time to time. They often faced sickness and mental torment from the attacks.

It was during this desperate and hopeless time that Sukana heard of a nearby a GFA native missionary church. Feeling hope for the first time in years, she invited the pastor, and church members to her home for prayer. As they prayed, a peace and joy she had never before experienced filled her heart.

She began attending the church prayer meetings, and soon she saw Jesus’ power healing her family and taking away their fear of demonic attacks.

In awe and gratitude, Sukana gave her life to the Lord. But then she faced a new obstacle: her husband’s family members, from a priestly line, began persecuting her to make her renounce her new faith.

In spite of this opposition, Sukana continues to remain strong in her commitment to Jesus, who delivered her from such hopelessness. Please pray with Sukana that her in-laws will receive salvation.
