Despite opposition from anti-Christian extremists, GFA missionaries and Bible college students reach out with the love of Christ to the people of Maharashtra, India.

Two young men from an anti-Christian group accosted two Gospel for Asia Bible college students, trying to prevent them from sharing the Gospel in Maharashtra, India. The extremists interrogated the third-year students and then warned them to never return to the area to minister.
In the attack, the radicals grabbed the students’ bags and searched them, asking “Where are you from and what are you doing here?” After grilling the students, the extremists threatened them and warned them not to return to any of the villages in the area or they would face serious consequences.
In another area of Maharashtra, anti-Christian elements tried to cause trouble for GFA and other Christian missionaries. They filed a complaint with the local police, falsely claiming that the missionaries were forcing villager to convert to Christianity. Although the state does not currently have an anti-conversion law, the extremists hoped to have mission work shut down.
Through these difficult situations, GFA missionaries and Bible college students are fervently seeking the Lord’s will for their ministries. They are concerned that, as in other Indian states, the extremists will become bolder in their opposition as time goes on.
The GFA Bible college students request prayer for wisdom and boldness during this time. They also ask for prayer that the extremists will not try to hinder their ministries and will come to know Jesus as their personal Savior.
