Brave Church Elder Beaten

Dibhai, a brave church elder in Gujurat, India, needs prayer. The Gospel for Asia-supported missionary who serves as pastor of the church received serious threats from anti-Christian extremists. So Dibhai agreed to lead the church services for a time until the situation settled down.
However, the extremist group merely turned their hatred to the elder instead of the pastor. A group of the anti-Christians descended on the church to try to scatter the congregation and lock the building up. Dibhai tried to stop the small mob and they beat him up.
Dibhai escaped without serious injuries, but the situation remains tense. The extremists perpetuating the violence aren't even from the village where the church is located. They are coming in from a nearby village to stir up trouble against the church.
The believers ask for prayer for courage and protection for the pastor, wisdom and healing for Dibhai, and a miracle—that the anti-Christians will see the truth and come to follow Jesus.
