Thousands of children hear about Jesus at GFA’s Bridge of Hope centers.

Workers at a Gospel for Asia Bridge of Hope center in Manipur, India, are asking for prayer after an incident that both scared and strengthened the believers in the area.
Bishnu Manbi, a worker at the GFA Bridge of Hope center, was visiting one of the children’s homes when a man named Newo, who claimed to have supernatural powers, burst into the home and began questioning Bishnu.
Newo grew antagonistic and grabbed the student roster from Bishnu, accusing him of working for an Indian intelligence agency. Newo threatened Bishnu, saying that an anti-Christian group he belonged to would capture all the Bridge of Hope staff. He then grabbed Bishnu’s hands and dragged him outside, threatening to kill him.
Everyone in the home was frightened and afraid to move, but Bishnu began praying earnestly. God answered these prayers and delivered Bishnu from the hostile situation. He was released unharmed within a few hours.
The next afternoon, Bishnu’s colleagues reported the incident to the village authorities, who said they would take care of the issue and told Bishnu that in the future he would not face such problems.
Our field correspondent reports that the Christians in the area have a deeper trust in the Lord as a result of this incident, and that unbelievers are now curious to hear about Christ.
They ask for prayers that all the missionaries and Bridge of Hope workers in the village can continue to serve faithfully, and that many more will come to Christ.
