People in this village in South Asia live in poverty. GFA Compassion Services team members reach out to them to offer hope in Jesus' name. Recently they conducted much-needed medical clinics in this village.
Medical doctors and nurses from the local community gave of their time to provide screenings, treatments and consultations.
GFA Compassion Services team members did the leg work behind the scenes, organizing the clinics and doing the administrative work.
The medical teams work with village leaders and get their approval for the clinics. The leaders are usually cooperative and offer local community buildings for the clinics.
A doctor prescribes medicine to a patient. More than 120 patients received free health check-ups and medicine at each clinic. GFA Compassion Services also partners with another organization to provide preventative health care and vitamin supplements to malnourished children.
Clinics like this one may be the only hope for people in this community to receive good medical care. They're also a source of spiritual hope, too, as GFA Compassion Services team members are there to minister to and offer comfort to these people whom Jesus loves so much.
