Santhosh tossed and turned. Another night of restless sleep. With many struggles in his life, and nowhere to turn for help, he was constantly gripped with fear.

In desperation, he sought the help of many gods, yet the ache in his heart remained. He went on a number of pilgrimages to religious places, hoping the gods would provide relief. Yet it was all in vain, he realized. His gods seemed unresponsive, unwilling to help. Not knowing where to turn, Santhosh sunk into even deeper despair.

During this time, God in His mercy brought Gospel for Asia missionary Thomas to the troubled man. Thomas told Santhosh of a loving God—a Savior who could give him peace and fill the void in his heart.

Santhosh felt drawn by the love of Jesus shown in the native evangelist. As Thomas earnestly prayed for him, the Lord delivered him from his problems. Overjoyed, Santhosh gladly gave his heart and life to Jesus.

Instead of feeling despair, today Santhosh knows a peace he never could have found anywhere else. Because a man came to his South Indian village that day and told him about Jesus, he knows the living God and can now “…come boldly to the throne of grace … [to] obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16, NKJV).

Like Santhosh, millions in Asia are still waiting to hear that Jesus can deliver them. To send a native missionary to reach hungry souls with the Good News, please click here.
