A woman was in the graveyard digging up bones. But no one even bothered Amisha. She was famous in their area for practicing black magic. The villagers heard her spells could even cure people.
Amisha had been heavily involved in demonic activity for 15 years. While people could easily see her supposed miracles, they couldn’t see what it was doing in her own life. The powerful spirits she worshiped brought her mental and even physical agony. At one point, it was so bad that she was on the verge of death. That’s why she decided to risk everything and try to find peace, hoping it was out there somewhere. She started out on a search that eventually led her to church.
Gospel for Asia-supported pastor Glaan was praying with some of his congregation one Sunday afternoon when he felt an urge to watch the church’s gate. He saw a lady there, hesitant, but looking like she wanted to come in.
It was Amisha, and Glaan went out to meet her.
Hoping this was her chance for help and deliverance, Amisha poured out her story to the pastor. He answered her longing questions with confident assurance that she had come to the right place. He shared Jesus’ power and love with her. She gladly received the message, and right there, God freed and saved her.
Today, instead of roaming through cemeteries, Amisha worships with other believers. Jesus set her free indeed.
