Desperate Search

"What a fool you are to leave such a good job," they said.

His family and friends mocked him when he left his job, but Parama was desperately searching for significance—and he knew his job could not give him the peace he longed for.

Tuning in to his radio one day, Parama heard a man's voice sharing about Jesus. Drawn to this message of God's love, he felt peace in his heart. More than anything, he wanted to know more about this God who was speaking to him.

As he thought about what he had heard and wondered how he could learn more about God, a missionary showed up on his doorstep the next day. After telling him of the hope of Jesus found in the Bible, the evangelist left a New Testament with Parama. Reading the Scriptures, the young man was gripped with the wondrous love of Jesus. Recognizing himself as a lost sinner in need of God's redemption, Parama received His free gift of salvation.

Growing closer to the Lord, Parama sensed a new life's purpose. He knew God had a plan for him to evangelize and plant churches among those who have never experienced the joy of Christ's love. He enrolled in a GFA Bible college for training.

Parama is glad for the day he heard about Jesus through a radio broadcast. Now he not only has a home in heaven one day, but the privilege to tell others how they, too, can find purpose for their lives.

Just as Parama's life was touched by radio, God is using GFA Radio to impact thousands of lives every month. Through your prayers and support of this outreach, you can reach precious souls in countries such as India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
