Gospel for Asia leaders in India have reported that some film equipment recently confiscated by police during a film showing has been returned. When the missionaries went to retrieve the equipment, the head officers apologized for what had happened. Police officials were very kind to them and even asked them questions about the film and about Christianity. The police kept the film so they could watch it, and promised to return it when finished.
The four GFA missionaries were beaten by anti-Christian extremists in Rajasthan while trying to show a film depicting the life of Jesus. The police confiscated the projector and other film equipment and beat the four men. They then took them to three different police stations in the area, releasing them only the next morning.
The film team is praising God for protecting them and their equipment. They ask for prayer that God will continue to use them to share the Gospel in villages that have never had a chance to know Jesus.
