The crowd watched the Jesus film animatedly. For some, it was probably their first time hearing about Christ.

The film on the life of Jesus clearly conveyed the Gospel message to the audience.

No one knows how a simple event will affect eternity. To Gospel for Asia-supported missionaries, showing Man of Mercy, an Asian film about Jesus’ life, is a common method of introducing Jesus. Missionaries around South Asia show this film to entire villages, and it is bearing much fruit.

Several months ago, four students from a Gospel for Asia-supported Bible college screened this film in a village. Three of the students were in their third year of school, which is reserved for practical ministry training, and the fourth student was in his second year. Sanjiv Verma, a local pastor, was on hand for the event, too. After the film ended, they told the crowd more about Jesus, then handed out New Testaments and Gospel literature.
