Nayak was desperate. In his search for peace for his troubled soul, he found no answers in the religious rituals he performed. Not knowing where else to turn, Nayak finally resorted to using drugs and alcohol—and became addicted.
Nayak’s parents could hardly bear to watch his demise. Out of deep concern for their son and the path he had taken, they approached GFA missionary Chakra and asked him to pray.
Chakra not only prayed, he also met with Nayak and gave him godly counsel. Drawn by the love Chakra showed him, Nayak began to attend church regularly. Witnessing the Lord at work among the church body, he put his faith in Jesus.
Today Nayak is actively involved in the local church. His new faith has radically transformed his life. And through the labors of GFA’s 14,500 native missionaries like Chakra, backed by the prayers and gifts of people like you, tens of thousands of people across Asia can testify with Nayak that Jesus has given meaning to their lives, too.
But millions more still wait to hear the Good News that Jesus loves them. Thank you for interceding for these precious souls as we labor together in the Lord’s harvest.
