Free eye care opened up doors to share the love of Christ. |
More than 100 people had their eyes examined at a free mobile eye clinic led by Gospel for Asia-supported missionaries.
The clinic, which was in Andhra Pradesh, India, was conducted to benefit villagers who suffer from various eye problems.
The doctors examined 100 patients and found that 17 people needed eye surgery. Twelve of these were able to have surgery that same day at a nearby hospital. The remaining five people had their surgeries the following day.
Medicine and glasses were distributed to those who needed them.
The clinic proved to be successful and was welcomed by the people in the village. It also made it possible to share the Good News with the villagers, allowing them to open their hearts to understand the care and love the Savior has for them.
Gospel for Asia-supported missionaries were even asked to conduct another program that would help benefit the poor and underprivileged in the village.
