Promila suffered from severe pain in her body. When Simon, a GFA native missionary, met her, he prayed earnestly for her healing. And God healed Promila and took away her pain. In gratitude and wonder at God’s healing touch, Promila gave her heart to Jesus.
But her parents weren’t so happy. Promila lived in a village where people did not believe in just one God—instead, they worshipped many gods. Her family began to actively oppose her decision to follow Jesus.
Give thanks to God for a life brought out of spiritual darkness into His marvelous light. Lift Promila to the Lord for courage to serve Him even in such opposition. Pray especially for His healing touch in the hearts of Promila’s family members, that they too will come to know Christ. What a powerful testimony this family could be in their village as they encourage each other in the faith.
