In a village in Punjab, North India, a family was in turmoil. Their mentally disabled son was again in a violent rage.

Growing up, Balbeer was a normal little boy. But then, one day, he became seriously ill with a high fever. He survived and recovered, but the sickness had affected his brain.

Now, in moments of insanity, he would sometimes beat his family and run away from home. His family was disturbed and spent many sleepless nights over his condition. Worse yet, their prayers to their gods did nothing for Balbeer.

Then the Lord sent a ray of hope to the family when they heard about GFA Pastor Kuldeep, a native missionary in the area. Maybe he could help, they thought. They asked the pastor to pray for Balbeer. Very soon the pastor visited their home and shared about Jesus and His miracles from the Bible. Balbeer’s family members eagerly listened and then received Jesus Christ as Savior!

Pastor Kuldeep prayed over Balbeer with this new family of believers, and together they witnessed a difference in the young man. The pastor didn’t stop there: He went home and asked his congregation to pray for Balbeer, and together they fasted and prayed for his complete healing.

Reaching down in love, the Lord healed Balbeer. Now he is completely normal and has gladly received Jesus, just as his family did. Not only has Balbeer been restored in this life, but he can also look forward to eternity with his Savior. How grateful he must be for a family who didn’t give up, a pastor and congregation who prayed, and a God who can heal and save. May Balbeer be a living testimony of God’s power to those who still need to hear of and know the Savior.
