Gospel for Asia missionary Titus Aamer has severe head injuries after being attacked by an ax-wielding man who was trying to kill him. Titus was not expected to live, but God had other plans.
The incident occurred September 1 in Assam, India when Titus was speaking with a young man from his village. The young man’s parents had recently chosen to give their hearts to Christ, and he had expressed an interest in the Gospel. But later, he was influenced by some anti-Christian extremists who led him to inflict fatal blows on this missionary.
Titus was rushed to the hospital, where he remained in a coma until doctors were able to perform surgery to repair his wounds.
After a successful surgery, he was moved from the ICU into a normal ward and is recovering.
This is not the first miracle Titus has seen. He has witnessed God perform miracles in many other people’s lives as he prayed for them. He serves as pastor of two separate churches with a total of 120 members.
The people in the churches ask for prayer for quick, complete healing for their pastor. They also ask for prayer for his wife and three children, that they would be comforted and be able to live without fear. They also ask for prayer for the man who attacked Titus, that he would come to know Christ.
