Hardik’s parents carried his frail and weak body into a Sunday church service, long threads hanging from his hands and neck—threads that the witchdoctors had said would heal him. Their traditional gods and practices had failed them. This was their last hope.
Born and raised in Jammu and Kashmir, Hardik suffered under the possession of a demon. Every night he was disturbed and traumatized by the evil spirit’s presence—so much that he would often try to commit suicide. The demon not only brought turmoil and trouble into Hardik’s life, it also caused physical illness.
Once at the church service, Hardik and his family met Pastor Khamal, who shared the Gospel with them. Moved by Hardik’s burden, Pastor Khamal began fasting and praying for his healing.
Four days later, during a prayer meeting, Hardik was delivered from the demon and from his physical illness!
His parents decided to follow Jesus Christ, but a month later they returned to worshipping their gods and goddesses. Hardik, however, remained faithful to God, saying, “I can leave my parents, but I cannot leave the Lord Jesus who gave me new life.” Hardik is now a strong Christian and regularly attends prayer meetings.
Please pray that his parents will leave their gods and goddesses and worship Christ again.
Also, please be in prayer for the healing of his brother, who has been suffering from mental illness since birth.
