Mitali and his wife had visited every house in the tiny village in their north Indian state, yet saw no fruit. A recent graduate of a Gospel for Asia Bible college, Mitali was excited to reach the village with the name of Jesus. Finally, after months of strenuous labor in reaching the village with the Gospel, he saw a glimmer of the power of God.
Tilak, the headman of the village, and his wife, Maliha, were at first opposed to the Gospel. After much determination and reliance on the Holy Spirit, Mitali saw them eventually open their hearts to Christ. Being the headman, Tilak faced much opposition from the other villagers for changing his faith. Although Tilak and Maliha have been subject to persecution and alienation, they have chosen to stand strong in the Lord.
Pray that Tilak and Maliha will continue to be bold in declaring their faith and obeying the Lord, and that the entire village will come to know Him.
