While Roshan was suffering from epilepsy, he had no idea that God would use this ailment as a stepping stone into a fruitful life.
During childhood, Roshan had several epileptic seizures and often fell unconscious during school. As a result, his parents feared sending him to school, so he did not attend classes regularly. School authorities prohibited Roshan from continuing after the eighth grade.
Not only was his education cut short, but his parents spent a lot of money on treatment, and time traveling from doctor to doctor. Eventually, they took him to a hospital for long-term treatment, but medical expenses were more than his parents could afford.
Roshan had several epileptic seizures and often fell unconscious during school. One day, Roshan’s Uncle Prasad, a Christian, visited him in the hospital and assured him of healing through Jesus. Prasad’s local congregation organized a fasting prayer, and God healed the youth. Following this miracle, Roshan gave his heart to Jesus. He and his parents began attending his uncle’s congregation, and on top of everything, Roshan’s parents dedicated him to the ministry.
Some time later, Roshan met Benjamin Masih, a pastor supported by Gospel for Asia, at a family gathering. Pastor Masih told Roshan about a GFA-supported Bible college. After he and his parents prayed for guidance, Roshan decided to go to the college. Not only has Roshan studied God’s Word there, but he has also been participating in outreach ministry, working with a team that distributes Gospel tracts from house to house and organizes church ministries like youth meetings.
Please pray for Roshan’s success in completing Bible college and beginning his full-time ministry work. Also pray for God’s protection and favor on him and his fellow believers, as they serve in an area where religious tension is strong and the government’s stance toward the Gospel is unfavorable.
