Mahubala couldn’t remember the things she studied while in school, but that changed after she encountered the living God.
Nadia had difficulties walking because of joint and body pain. Now she’s not only completely healed, but she’s also walking with Jesus as her Savior. |
Two young girls experienced healing from God in two very different situations. However, they’re still in need of prayers.
A Child’s Memory
Mahubala dropped out of school because of her memory. She often forgot what she studied, and she slowly began to fail all her classes. She decided she’d rather live without any education than deal with the pressure of not being able to excel in school.
Mahubala’s parents took no notice of her situation. Her father was a drunkard, and her mother was preoccupied with visiting holy places, and fasting and praying to her gods for her husband’s condition to care for their youngest daughter. But Gospel for Asia-supported missionary Silas Jaiteley knew Jesus loved Mahubala, so he began encouraging her while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Silas visited her often and told her stories of Jesus—and those stories began to take root in her heart. Mahubala eventually chose to live for Jesus. She started praying to God and sharing her problems with Him, and she noticed a remarkable change in the way she remembered things—the Lord had answered her prayers and strengthened her memory! Now Mahubala can read God’s Word and recall the things He has shown her through it.
But her family members still continue with their worldly ways. Mahubala hopes and prays they will come to know the great love of the Savior soon and asks that we join her in praying for the salvation of her parents.
A Young Girl’s Desire
Nineteen-year-old Nadia suffered with joint and body pain that hindered her ability to walk properly. Nothing helped her condition until she saw a movie about the One who is able to heal the sick.
Two Gospel for Asia-supported missionaries, Saipraasad Kadam and Aadi Tambe, were showing a Jesus film in Nadia’s remote village. About 119 people watched the movie, and Nadia was one of them.
She saw how Jesus healed people and desired to become just like one of those He touched and cured. She believed with faith He could take away her pain.
After the viewing, she approached Saipraasad and Aadi and asked them to pray for her. Now Nadia is healed and she has decided to live for Jesus! But her family members are not allowing her to go to church.
She wants to hold fast to the Lord despite the opposition coming her way because she now knows the God who healed her is the real God. She asks for prayers for strength to endure persecution and for her family to come to know Jesus as their Savior.
