In His Own Words: A GFA native missionary shares fresh news from the field.
Who: Pastor Lakra (pictured right)
Where: Jharkhand, North India
Pastor Lakra has been witnessing incredible answers to prayer. He has also encountered opposition for sharing his faith. He recently wrote to describe these things for us and provide praises and prayer requests.
Prayer for an adversary:
“I had been praying for the salvation of a man who opposed me and tried to stop my ministry. As an answer to prayer, he renounced his sins and received Christ as his personal Savior.”
Ministry update:
“I am working among [various people groups in Jharkhand]. We are going for outreach, but the people do not want to listen to anything from us. So it is hard to reach them. But I believe God will work in their hearts … in the coming days.”
Witch doctor’s daughter:
“A young lady was suffering from severe stomach pain for a long time. Her father is a witch doctor, and all her family members worshipped gods and goddesses. She spent much money for her medication, but it was in vain. I prayed for her, and the Lord miraculously healed her! Experiencing the healing touch of God, she turned to the living God.”
Hostile accusation:
“The anti-Christians have filed a false case against me, claiming that I am forcefully converting people to Christianity. Pray that the Lord may intervene in this matter and speak in the hearts of these people to understand the truth.”
