This man and his wife drastically changed after listening to a GFA Radio program. They were at the brink of divorce brought on by abuse, but now they live a life of love and care for one another.

Manish Khan was a strict follower of a religious sect that rejected idol worship and promoted fasting and prayer one day each week. Even though Manish followed all the rituals and practices of his religion, he had no peace or joy. Instead, anxiety and inner conflict resided in his heart.

One day, when he turned on his radio, he came across a GFA Radio program. He had been feeling discouraged and disturbed because of some personal problems, but as Manish listened to the program, it was as if the broadcaster was speaking to him directly. God’s Word profoundly touched his heart. His entire burden disappeared, and joy filled his restless heart. After that, changes began to take place in his life.

GFA Radio has seen countless lives transformed through the message of Christ’s love. Here are some letters from men and women who have witnessed the power of God through the “invisible evangelist”—the radio.

“I acquired a lot of knowledge about the Savior Jesus Christ by listening to your radio programs.”

Spiritual refreshment through a dry well
We were digging a well, Maitri wrote on behalf of her family. Work was blocked halfway because of rock. We tried 32 times to break the rock, but there was not a single drop of water to see. In the midst of great disappointment, I believed that we would get water.

I called [GFA Radio] for prayer. We covered the well opening with wood. People around us started to mock us, but I believed in Jesus. I prayed with tears as I held the radio in my hand during the program. After some days, the workers came to see if they should continue. It is wonderful to say there were five feet of water! Those who mocked us also say that it is a miracle.

Lovely programs’ lead to sweet dreams
Parantapa and his sister are the only believers in their family. He recently wrote to a GFA Radio office to express his gratitude for the broadcast.

I was once of the world, Parantapa explained. I had a lot of problems in my life. But now I am a very joyful Christian. I am not troubled by bad dreams like I once used to have. I feel happy and joyous after listening to your radio program. Thanks for the lovely and useful programs. Please pray that the other people in my family will also come to know Christ.

She found real peace of mind
Balika was brought up to follow a traditional religion, and she worshiped multiple deities. But then she listened to a GFA Radio broadcast in her native language.

One day, as I was listening to your radio program, Balika recalled, God told me, “I am going to do mighty things in your life. Be still and wait upon the Lord.” From that day onward I listened to your radio program frequently.

Radio stations receive a plethora of letters from listeners every month, with each letter given attention and a personal response.

By listening to the Word of God, my faith increased. I acquired a lot of knowledge about the Savior Jesus Christ by listening to your radio programs. Your messages were so powerful, and they penetrated my heart. I submitted my heart to the Lord. Now I have real peace of mind.

Prisoner finds real freedom
Kalyan Rangan was a struggling taxi driver who was caught smuggling drugs to escape debt. He was serving a term in prison when he heard a GFA Radio program and learned about its correspondence program. He wrote in, hungry to learn more about Christ.

I understood the real struggle of life in prison and spent many nights in tears to find peace, Kalyan wrote. One of my fellow prisoners shared about Jesus with me and led me to Christ. Thank you for sending the books and the missionary biographies and for encouraging me to grow in the Lord. I would like to be a missionary.

These are just a few examples of the million-plus responses that Gospel for Asia workers in South Asia receive from radio listeners each year. They ask that you continue praying for the broadcasts, which are heard in multiple countries in more than 100 languages. Pray that many more would find the salvation of Jesus over the airwaves.
