Eleven-year-old Dayita Sarin gleaned wisdom from the ways of her father. She watched as he shared the love of Christ with the people in her village. She listened as he read the Word of God. It was all in preparation for the day that she, too, would become a little missionary, just like her father.
One day, she and her parents set off to attend a marriage ceremony in her village. While there, Dayita met Mohini Verma, a little girl who instantly became her friend. Dayita knew Mohini wasn't a Christian, so she seized the opportunity to tell her friend about Jesus. She started sharing all she had learned about the Gospel from hearing her father preach.
As Dayita was telling Mohini all the stories of Jesus and the miracles He performed, Mohini told Dayita about the pain she was having in her teeth. Dayita saw this as a great opening for her new friend to witness firsthand the healing power of Christ.
She invited Mohini back to her home to pray for her tooth. After Dayita prayed, she placed some oil on Mohini's teeth, just as she had been taught from the Scriptures, trusting the Lord to heal her friend completely. Amazingly, the pain went away, leaving Mohini feeling a sense of relief and joy. Dayita rejoiced with her friend!
Before Mohini journeyed home, Dayita made sure to invite her to attend the Sunday worship service at the church where her father preached.
Dayita's father, Pastor Vinay Sarin, has been serving the Lord for 11 years and is currently leading a church with 60 believers. His five children were raised to share the love of Christ whenever they found an opportunity. His example set the path for Dayita as she openly shares her love for God with others.
