A sheep given as a gift helped meet Dalia’s needs. |
Dalia hasn’t always been a shepherdess, but today she walks through town with her little flock of seven sheep. As she was passing by a Gospel for Asia Bridge of Hope center with her sheep, she saw a GFA worker and rushed over to tell him her story.
Dalia’s flock started out with just one sheep that Gospel for Asia provided for her a few years ago. The gift was possible because of a donation someone gave through the GFA Christmas Gift Catalog.
As the sheep multiplied, Dalia’s financial situation stabilized—enabling her to plan for the marriage of her daughter. Dalia told the GFA worker that because of this gift, she could meet the wedding-related expenses, and her daughter’s future was secured.
Gratefully, Dalia said she would never forget the help given to her in her hour of need.
In this same village, GFA provided gifts like Dalia’s to several other families who desperately needed financial hope and the assurance that someone was watching out for them. Now, stories of changed lives are coming back to show that the generosity of Christians around the world did not go to waste.
