A long-time dream of having their very own church building became a reality as believers in a northeastern state of India gathered to begin work on their new sanctuary.
The state leader, Bible college students and others prayed and gave thanks to God for His provision before the ceremonial start of the building process.
A GFA state leader had the honor of pouring the first shovel of cement into the foundation.
The people sought God's blessing over the ceremony and the construction work with much prayer and the hearing of God's Word.
Before heading out, the state leader encouraged the believers there. Having a church building is a significant step in growing ministries. The believers all know what a great privilege it is to finally have a place where they can freely worship their Savior.
Since the construction began, people have tried to stop the church's completion. The believers requested prayers for a peaceful resolve and for their opponents to come to know the Lord and join them in worshiping in their new sanctuary once it is completed.
