Turina listened as two young women questioned her instructor, "Is it written in the Quran that women will have a place in heaven?" Her Urdu instructor couldn't answer.
After the day's lesson in the classical Muslim language, Turina approached the two women. Their instructor had become angry and tried to humiliate them when she found out they were Christians. But the two women had calmly responded with questions about the Quran.
The women were Gospel for Asia missionaries who had been specially trained to share the Word of God with Muslims. They had come to this community not long before, and were praying for opportunities to share with the women. They began building friendships and attending the Urdu class. And now, Turina was asking them to share more about their God.
Turina had heard of Jesus years before. Now she wanted the two brave women to explain the Gospel to her again. As she listened, the words touched her heart-but at the same time, fear crept in.
The response the two women missionaries had received from the Urdu instructor was negative, but it was only verbal. Would Turina be beaten and rejected by her family if she chose to follow Jesus?
Turina hasn't chosen to receive Christ yet. Please pray for her and others like her that fear will not hold them back from choosing the love and salvation of the Lord.
