With the love of a shepherd searching for one lost sheep, Jadesh travels from village to village looking for orphans who have no one to care for them. Today, 20 children have been added to his family of seven. With laughter and smiles, they get ready for school in the morning and do their homework in the afternoon. After evening devotions, all 27 sleep side by side on the floor of their one-room home.
When Jadesh and his family first came to make a home in their village, a group of nominal Christians strongly protested his ministry. They detested any denomination but theirs and wanted to be the only Christian ministry in the village.
However, over time, Jadesh’s love, especially for orphans, impressed them, and they began to listen to what he had to say. As they listened, their hearts were changed. And today, 65 people have received salvation in Jesus Christ and have formed a thriving church.
As you watch Jadesh, his love is overwhelming—his love for his church, for his children and for those who have yet to hear about Jesus. Please pray for him and his wife. Ultimately, their goal is to meet not only the physical and emotional needs of the orphans, but to guide each one to the love of Christ.
