Sunil had been sick for a long time, and there didn’t seem to be a cure in sight. That is, until someone came to his village with the Gospel, a powerful message of hope. Sunil asked the young missionary, a GFA Bible college student, to pray for him.
Trusting in the powerful grace of the Lord, Joseph prayed for Sunil. He rejoiced when the weak man was restored completely. “This event touched me a lot,” Joseph writes, “and through it I grew closer to God.” Pray Sunil’s heart will also be touched through his healing. Pray the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will grow very real to Him as he remembers what took place.
The Lord gave missionary trainee Joseph an opportunity to trust for healing in his own life when he recently suffered from a skin disease. “I prayed and resolved that I would not use any medicine,” Joseph recalls. “In time, I was healed completely. Today when I look back my heart is filled with a great sense of gratitude for Him.”
