Like many GFA Bible college students, Rajesh is already seeing results from his efforts—in the past six months, eight people have come to Christ through his weekend outreach. His success hasn’t come without a price to be paid.
Evangelizing in a village one day, Rajesh was approached by members of a radical anti-Christian group. “Stop preaching the Gospel,” they demanded, “or we will take away your bicycle and burn you alive.” These were no idle threats; this group is known in the area for its persecution of Christians.
“At that moment,” Rajesh remembers, “the Lord empowered me and helped me stand firm.” God in His mercy and power protected the young missionary’s life that day. “Praise the Lord!” Rajesh writes. “Please pray for the people who oppose our ministry to believe in Christ.”
Give thanks for a young man surrendered to God’s call on his life, even if it means persecution. You and I have the privilege to pray for such brothers. God meets us in a special way as we share in His work across the globe.
