John had recently started ministry in the South Indian village. Though most of the people worshipped many gods, he noticed they were receptive to hearing the Gospel.
When John shared the Gospel with one man in particular—a heavy drinker named Sasi—the man showed a strong interest in hearing more. This provided an opening for more outreach in the community. John began to hold regular fellowships where people could learn about Jesus, and several families started attending.
John already has a well-established ministry in a village near Sasi’s, where he has seen a number of people not only come to Christ, but also share his vision for the lost.
“The church believers are very zealous in spreading the Gospel,” John writes. “They select a specific day for outreach and visit various villages with the Gospel message.”
Through the active involvement of these believers, John is able to reach even more precious lives with the message of hope.
Please give thanks to God for providing such avenues for ministry in this fertile soil, and pray that many in Sasi’s area and in surrounding villages will come to know Christ as their Savior.
