For years Milan and Sunita had worshipped idols; but after praying for so long without an answer, they were weary. Their prayers for a child seemed to fall on deaf ears. They assumed that the gods did not care.
Slowly they stopped holding to the rituals and customs they had known for so long. They had no hope left.
It was at this point that a relative told them about the hope that can only be found in Jesus. What he shared about Christ lifted their heavy hearts just a little. As he continued to tell them about Jesus their belief grew, and they began attending church.
Their family, totally displeased with this sudden change in faith, criticized them. Criticism turned to mocking, and then total rejection. But Milan and Sunita’s interest in Jesus only grew stronger.
Then one Sunday a Gospel for Asia leader spoke in their church. At the end of the service he invited the believers to come and receive prayer for their needs. So Milan and Sunita asked for prayer. Not long after that, they found that they were going to have a child! Jesus had answered their prayers.
Milan and Sunita have placed their trust fully in Christ. Please pray that Sunita will have a safe delivery, and pray that they will continue to grow in their love for the Lord.
